The Challenge: We’re all getting rid of five things we no longer need, but find cluttering up our space. We’re talking real, useful items that have served their purpose to us and are now just gathering dust. In the spirit of simplifying, we want you to do the same. Submit a picture of five things you’re getting rid of and, if you feel like overachieving, tell us why. Post it on our Facebook page or tweet it at us. The challenge runs the whole month of September. At the end of the month, we’ll put all the names in a real hat and draw the winner. The winner of what you ask…
The Prize: A $25.55 Amazon gift card
The Reason: Cutting the clutter feels excellent. In September, much of our content here on MSOL will be about simplifying our lives in the hopes of finding a happy medium between materialism and minimalism (we’re not quite ready to move into tiny houses yet). We think that simplifying, like pruning plants, leads to new growth. By getting rid of what you don’t need, you’re making those resources available to others and freeing up your own space to utilize more efficiently.
